You're not perfect.
You're not pretty.
You're not any of those words that are used to the point where there is no longer meaning left.
You are something more.
You are art.
Everything about you is something so special that no one else seems to have.
Every scratch and bruise makes you different.
Every flaw makes you shine.
Whether is you collarbone sticks out or your lips pout or your face is not asymmetrical.
Those are the things that make you intriguing and beautiful.
Those are the things that catch others' eyes.
Our differences make us worth a look.
Not only what's on the outside but also the inside.
I never want my daughter one day many years down the line to spend her life hoping someone calls her pretty.
I want her to know that she's more than that.
More than what she looks like on the outside.
I want her to know that she's pretty amazing, pretty talented, pretty minded.
I want her to know that she doesn't need to spend her life trying to look a certain way or fit a certain mold.
I want her and every other little girl and boy to spend their lives working toward being the best versions of themselves. To prove others wrong about all the rules set out in society. Pretty doesn't belong by itself when it can mean so much more with something else.
