Find your happiness
_happiness /'hapenis/ the state of being happy, delighted, pleased, or glad. this overwhelming feeling makes your insides feel amazing. its confusing because many say that they aren't happy. that happy doesn't have a presence in their life. that confuses me. happiness can be found anywhere. happiness is the feeling you get in the little things. the things no one seems to notice except you. it can also come up in the big things that everyone can't seem to forget about. this feeling makes you feel light and bouncy and indestructible. your face seems to be indented with a smile that seems to cover your entire face and nothing can make it willow away. happiness lies in the people you love and the things around and even inside of you. just look deep and find it. remember all the times when you were little and nothing would bring you down. the days when fairytales took up your lives and everyone was a king or a queen. that pure innocence was happiness. and it was inside of you then. so why can't it be in you now? make believe is still in the world today. good and bad. you probably have dealt with people who were not who they said they were. sat heartbroken. not being trust people around of you. felt as though the happiness was sucked out of you. but it wasn't. you don't need another person to be happy. because sometimes you are going to have to be completely alone and you won't have someone else to create happiness. memories. you'll just have yourself and that's all you'll need. just remember the world of make believe. how you were entertained for hours being by yourself. but really you weren't. your imagination made characters and people and places appear in your bedroom and you were never alone or sad. so enjoy the little moments. find your happiness. take time and listen to the rain. hear how it hits the roof and make music out it or run outside and dance in the rain. let yourself go. dance around like no one's watching. take time to sit and read a good book. curl up under blankets. take time to feel the soft fibers against your bare skin. take a moment to think about how this little piece of cloth blocks out the harsh cold air and the monsters on the dark nights. some people don't have that. you are so lucky. i know that we don't realize that we have so many things that children in other countries dream about. pray for. that's so weird to think about. in first world countries we like to think about all the things that we don't have. cry over them. beg for them. complain for them. few people take the time and think about the things they do have. the chocolate we beg to have at the market while our fridges are stocked with vegetables. there are people who would beg for a bite of the vegetables we try not to eat every time mother puts it on our plates. how odd. happiness is in everything yet it seems so hard to find. maybe we just don't try. maybe human race just likes to think about what they don't have. when schools let out for summer children hoot and holler while a child in a third world country looks at learning like a treasure that they so badly want. and then when school is back in session there's moaning and groaning while across the world there are little boys and girls working in hot packed factories trying to help out with their families so maybe they wouldn't have to skip another meal that night. we have a chance. we have a chance to follow our dreams. for them as much as a nonprofit tries to help them they are always thrown back in to the cruel modern day child slavery.you have so many things to be happy about. don't forget all the little details. use all of the things that you are blessed. and make yourself the best possible version of yourself and happy.
